How to Use Your HSA | FSA

FAQ, Helpful Tips & Disclaimer

General HSA | FSA Questions

  • What are HSA and FSA accounts?

Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) let you set aside pre-tax dollars to cover qualified health and wellness expenses. If you’re not sure whether you have one, check with your employer or health plan provider.

  • Are Fitbod subscriptions eligible for HSA/FSA reimbursement?

Fitbod subscriptions may be eligible for HSA and FSA reimbursement with a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) from your healthcare provider. Since eligibility can vary by plan administrator, we recommend checking with your HSA/FSA provider for details.

  • How do I know if I’m eligible to use HSA/FSA funds for Fitbod?

    Eligibility has two parts:

Your account: Not every health plan offers HSA or FSA benefits. Check with your employer or health insurance provider to see if you have one of these accounts. Please note, accounts must be funded by the user.

Eligibility: Complete the steps above to have a doctor verify your eligibility in a text-based consultation-no video required.

  • Can I pay with my HSA/FSA card at checkout?

To pay with your HSA/FSA, please select “Check out with HSA/FSA with Flex.” You will be prompted to complete a brief telehealth consultation to confirm your eligibility to use HSA/FSA. Then, you can enter your HSA/ FSA card details, or pay with a credit/ debit card and submit to your administrator for reimbursement.

  • How do I get a receipt to submit for reimbursement?

When you purchase your Fitbod annual subscription, within 2 hours of your purchase, Flex will email you both a Letter of Medical Necessity as well as an itemized receipt. Keep these documents for your records should your HSA/FSA provider or the IRS require additional documentation.

  • I did not receive a receipt after I purchased a Fitbod membership, what do I do?

Please check your spam folder, as sometimes emails from [email protected] may be automatically filtered as spam by some email service providers. If you still can’t find it, please email [email protected] and let them know the email address associated with your order.

  • What is a Letter of Medical Necessity, and do I need one for Fitbod?

FSA providers require a doctor’s note or a Letter of Medical Necessity to approve reimbursement. This letter confirms that your subscription supports a specific health need or medical condition.

Reminders

  • Know what qualifies

Eligibility guidelines can vary, so confirm with your provider before submitting.

  • Use it before you lose it

FSA balances usually expire at the end of the plan year. Applying them toward a Fitbod subscription is a simple way to make sure your funds don’t go to waste.

Legal

  • Legal Disclaimer

Fitbod does not determine individual eligibility for HSA or FSA reimbursement and cannot guarantee that your subscription will qualify. Coverage and requirements vary by provider. Please confirm with your HSA/FSA administrator before making a purchase or submitting a claim.
