The Trigger:
The trigger was seeing my license picture—how much weight I had put on and how different I looked.
The Change:
About a year ago I was the heaviest I have been in my life weighing in at 182. Considering my height, I was termed medically obese. I had a fatty liver, my cholesterol was high, and I was a borderline diabetic. I began my fitness journey in October 2018 and with the help of workouts on Fitbod, my awesome trainer Tara, and dieting correctly I managed to lose 50 pounds in a matter of 6 months.
Did you change anything in addition to exercise/fitness?
I cut out soda, alcohol, and fast food. As far as my workout routine, two days a week I work out with my trainer Tara and she has me complete full body workouts. I take what I learn from her on a weekly basis and use that to determine my workout regime on Fitbod throughout the week. Both Fitbod and Tara have been a tremendous help. I do use pre-workout, creatine, and protein supplements from Advocare to get the best out of my workouts. I’m now also able to run and do sprints when I was never able to before. It feels great.
Any specific fitness goals that you have?
I would like to run a 5k and continue building muscle and strength.
Results:
I now weigh 133 pounds. I have also started to become leaner and adding on some muscle. I’m now also able to run and do sprints when I was never able to. It feels great.
Now I get tons of congratulation comments when people look at my license after they stare at me and notice the big change. It’s one of the greatest feelings ever and has also helped me with boosting my confidence.
Advice for others:
Surround yourself with motivated people and never give up!
