    Instructions for Proper Form

Partner Hamstring Stretch is a flexibility exercise that primarily targets the hamstrings. By performing this stretch with a partner, you can achieve a more effective and deeper stretch compared to doing it alone. The partner can help control and increase the stretch gently, which can help improve flexibility, range of motion, and relieve muscle tightness in the hamstrings.

    1. Partner 1: Lie on your back with your legs fully extended, toes pointed up, and arms at your sides.
    2. Partner 2: Stand over one of your partner’s legs and adjust your position based on the height of your partner.
    3. Partner 1: Raise the leg that your partner isn’t standing over. Straighten it as much as possible. Knee bends are fine.
    4. Partner 2: Hold your partner’s lifted leg in both of your hands. Support your partner’s leg as you gently push it toward your partner’s head.
    5. Partner 1: Communicate with your partner! When you feel a stretch in your hamstring, signal that your leg has gone far enough. This doesn’t need to be painful.
    6. Partner 2: Hold your partner’s leg in this position for the duration of the stretch.
    7. Switch legs and repeat.
    8. Switch positions with your partner, and repeat.
