PVC Shoulder External Rotation is an isolation exercise that primarily targets the rotator cuff muscles. By using a PVC pipe, you add light resistance and can ensure proper form to improve shoulder mobility and stability. This is a great exercise for improving shoulder health and can be used as a warm-up or rehabilitation exercise to prevent injuries and enhance performance in other upper body movements.
Stand upright with your feet shoulder width apart
Grab ahold of a PVC pipe with your right hand and bring it up and over the back of your right shoulder so that your upper arm is in line with your shoulders.
Grab ahold of the bottom of the PVC pipe with the left hand in an overhand grip.
Pull up on the PVC pipe with your left hand as you rotate your right shoulder backwards until you feel a comfortable stretch in your right shoulder.
Hold the stretch for 15-30 seconds and repeat with the opposite side.
